Vitamin C goes to town on hyperpigmentation! Known a the “skin brightening vitamin”, you’ll begin to notice an even skin tone. Vitamin C contains naturally occuring antioxidants that protect skin from oxidative stress.
Lemons Help With Acne-Prone Skin!
Lemons contain antimicrobials that fight acne breakouts. Lemons contain citric acid, which is purportedly said to reduce sebum, (which is the oils in our skin).
Lemons Help Tighten Skin!
Got some saggy skin going on? Lemons help produce naturally occurring collagen production. Collagen is what we need to improve the elasticity in our skin!
When Is The Best Time To Drink Lemon Water!
First thing in the morning! Before coffee, tea, or breakfast. Prepare an 8oz glass of clean water that contains a squeezed lemon wedge, and drink up!
When I prepare my large tumbler of water, I add 2 wedges of lemon. I refill this tumbler throughout the day, keeping the same wedges for the day.
Is Too Much Lemon A Bad Thing?
We’ve all heard it – “Everything in moderation”. This applies to lemons as well. I literally use 2 wedges a day to obtain the amazing benefits of lemon water! Too many lemons can lead to diminished tooth enamel. Those with heartburn and acid reflux issues do not fare well from excess lemon consumption.
So, keep it simple! 2 lemon wedges a day!
Here’s A Tip!
At the end of the day, when you’re washing your tumbler, toss those lemon wedges into your kitchen disposal! Lemon peel works wonders to freshen and eliminate gunky stuff that accumulates in your disposal!
