During the pandemic, well, you were there. None of us could head to the gym. Enter – Amazon, and anything I could find around the house to create my own gym. Perhaps like you, I realized I was doing just fine without that gym membership. Even better – the excuse of not wanting to drive all-the-way-to-the-gym was not available in my arsenal of excuses not to exercise. Today, I have repurposed a giant room in my home, where things went to die for lack of not know where to put them. I do not own one piece of pricey gym equipment. Here’s how I get it done ~
- A Sturdy Chair – tricep dips, leg lifts, hand weights, crunches
- A Set of Stretch Bands – resistance strength training
- A Stability Ball – core workouts, hand weights
- A Yoga Mat – pre/post-workout stretching, Yoga practice
- A Set of Hand Weights – strength training
And, that’s it! Yes, you can add additional items – a TV for free YouTube classes, a stereo for motivational tunes to get you moving, even that pricey equipment. With these 6 essential items, I can conquer Leg Day and Arm Day with the best of ’em! Don’t forget to hydrate! xoxo, Wimberly
